Trello

Create, read, update and delete Trello boards, lists and cards, comment on cards, and read the current member's boards.

Nodes Trello (actions), Trello Trigger (polling)
Auth API key and token
Availability Trello: all workspaces. Trigger: limited release

Known issue: Trello needs both an API key and a user token on every call. A Trello credential created in Flero sends the key but not the token, so Trello rejects the call. Until this is fixed, call Trello with the HTTP Request node. See Workaround.

Connecting

Trello has no OAuth sign-in in Flero.

  1. At trello.com/power-ups/admin, create a Power-Up and copy its API key.
  2. From the same page, generate a token for your Trello account.
  3. In Flero, create a Trello credential and paste the API key.

Operations

Area Operations
Board Create a board, Get a board, Update a board, Delete a board, Get lists on a board
List Create a list, Get a list, Update a list, Get cards in a list
Card Create a card, Get a card, Update a card, Delete a card, Get actions on a card, Add comment to card
Member Get current member, Get member boards

Create a card takes idList (required), name, desc, due and idLabels. The new card's ID is {{ $node["Create card"].output.data.id }}.

Triggers

The Trello Trigger offers polling triggers built from the list and get operations, 5 minutes by default. It is in limited release, and there is no real-time Trello trigger.

Workaround

Call the Trello REST API with an HTTP Request node and a Generic / Custom HTTP credential that holds your key and token. Keep the key and token out of the URL field. See API keys & bearer tokens.

Common errors

Symptom Check
401 on every call The known issue above. Use the workaround.
400 A board, list or card ID is wrong. IDs are the long hex strings, not the short link codes.
