Shopify

Manage Shopify products, orders, customers, inventory levels and webhooks through the Admin REST API.

Connecting

Both options ask for your shop name: mystore for mystore.myshopify.com. Flero sends the token in Shopify's X-Shopify-Access-Token header.

Admin API access token

  1. In Shopify admin, create a custom app and give it the Admin API scopes you need.
  2. Install it and copy the Admin API access token (shpat_…).
  3. In Flero, choose API Key, paste the token and enter the shop name.

OAuth with your own app

  1. Create an app in the Shopify Partner dashboard and add the Redirect URL from Flero's credential dialog.
  2. In Flero, choose OAuth 2.0, enter the shop name, and paste the app's client ID and secret.
  3. Pick scopes. The defaults are read_products and read_orders. You can add write_products, write_orders, read_customers and write_customers.
  4. Click Connect with Shopify.

There is no create-order or fulfil-order operation. Enter fields as plain fields. Flero wraps them in Shopify's object, such as product. A new product's ID is {{ $node["Create product"].output.data.product.id }}.

Triggers

The Shopify Trigger polls the list operations, every 5 minutes by default.

Webhooks you register with Create a webhook do not reach a Shopify trigger. Point them at a Webhook trigger URL instead. Shopify signs its webhooks with its own scheme, which the Webhook trigger does not check, so verify the X-Shopify-Hmac-Sha256 header inside the workflow.

Limits

  • The connector uses Admin API version 2023-07.
  • Shopify's rate limits apply. A 429 fails the node.

Common errors

Symptom Check
401 The token is wrong or the app was uninstalled.
403 The app lacks the scope for that resource, for example read_customers.
404 on every call The shop name is wrong. Use the myshopify.com name, not a custom domain.
